The difference between asbestos-free board and non-asbestos board
The ASBESTOS FREE GASKET or NON ASBESTOS GASKET generally mentioned in European and American countries refers to 100% asbestos free gaskets. It should be said that the translation into Chinese can be said as "non-asbestos gasket" or "non-asbestos gasket", but some companies in the Chinese market refer to gaskets containing a certain amount of asbestos (5-20%) as non-asbestos gaskets. A 100% asbestos-free gasket is called an asbestos-free gasket. In view of this special situation, all our gaskets are reiterated as non-asbestos gaskets without any asbestos component. Unless there are special circumstances but will be explained in detail.
CAF: Asbestos rubber sheet CFS: Non-asbestos rubber sheet
1) Can you replace traditional universal asbestos rubber gaskets with only one non-asbestos gasket?
In general, it is difficult to find such asbestos-free gaskets, because general CAF not only has high temperature resistance and chemical resistance, etc., but CFS, that is, rubber fiber board is mainly aramid nitrile rubber sheet, and has high oil resistance. The anti-corrosion requires the use of polytetrafluoroethylene, and most of the high temperature industrial and mining use graphite.
2) Why is CFS more brittle than CAF and easily broken?
The proportion of fiber contained in CFS is low and the filler content is high, while the fiber content of CAF is generally 70-80% to maintain good tensile strength.
3) What should be paid attention to when choosing CFS?
Choose a reliable and reputable manufacturer;
It is necessary to comprehensively consider the conditions such as temperature, pressure, medium, flange and bolts and nuts.
4) Can I provide 4MM or 5MM CFS?
Due to the material nature of CFS itself, we do not recommend the use of more than 3MM sheet but can provide 4MM
